To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Artek unveiled a series of special collections: the Moomin furniture series featuring illustrations by Tove Jansson, an anniversary poster by Finnish artist Inka Bell, the Artek + Marimekko collaboration series, and Gems from the Archive, a selection of reissued designs by Alvar Aalto.
For this presentation at Dover Street Market Ginza, Logman was responsible for the design of the exhibition fixtures and installation.
The fixtures were designed to coexist harmoniously with the environment of Dover Street Market Ginza, while responding to Artek’s request for a structure built with minimal materials.
By composing the given space with a single continuous line and minimal surfaces, Logman visualized the invisible boundaries of the site, creating a spatial composition with a sense of openness and lightness.
The color palette was derived from Artek’s visual materials for each series, reflecting their distinct identities throughout the exhibition.
For the first-floor installation, Logman used Artek’s iconic Stool 60 as the structural element, integrating it with the anniversary visuals.
The floating stools form a light and celebratory installation that reinterprets Artek’s enduring spirit and design heritage.
Artekは創業90周年を記念し、ムーミンシリーズ、インカ・ベルによるアニバーサリーポスター、マリメッコとのコラボレーション「Artek + Marimekko」、そしてアアルトデザインの復刻コレクション「Gems from the Archive」を発表した。
この発表にあわせ、Dover Street Market Ginzaで開催された展示の什器設計とインスタレーションをLogmanが担当した。
展示什器は、Dover Street Market Ginzaの環境デザインと調和しながら、Artekから求められた「最小限の材料による構成」に応えることを目的とした。
Logmanは、与えられた空間を一本の線と最小限の面で構成することで、見えない境界を可視化し、抜け感と軽やかさをもつ展示空間を計画した。
什器の色は、Artekが制作した各シリーズのビジュアルから抽出した色を用い、それぞれの世界観を空間に反映している。
1階のインスタレーションでは、Artekを象徴する〈Stool 60〉を構造体とし、90周年を祝うビジュアルパネルと組み合わせて構成。
スツールが浮遊するように配置されたこの空間は、Artekの精神と歴史を、軽やかに再構築する試みとなった。
